I have no fear Huckleberry will get the Republican nomination much less win the Presidency...

What does scare me however is that one of the more socially liberal Republicans will get the nomination and then to ballance out the ticket Pick Hucklyberry as VP to bring in the Evangelical vote. Ugh that would be horrable to have some whacko like him in the White House.
 
I dont think the American public is going to go for another guy who wears his religion on his sleave again.

I would not be so sure of that. Swaggart still preaches and gets lots of money from voters. So does the Lying Reverend Lyons, etc....
 
I'm willing to bet there are a lot more gays and non-homophobic Americans in this country than there are christian conservatives.

Christian conservative political strength is diminishing and Huckabee would energize the opposition even more.

Imagine this .. Romney/Huckabee with Lieberman as Secretary of Defense.
