What if ...

Trump mobilized a million of his dupes in DC, then announced he was suspending habeas corpus on grounds of a national emergency, and ordered the Justice Department to arrest a list of "enemies of the people"?

Would he be:

(a) impeached in record time

or

(b) removed under the 25th Amendment?

Somebody would bring him back to Earth. (he has too much support for either of the two above actions to happen)

Hard to say, especially since he has so much support from the Republican party. Hopefully, if that did happen, some would come to their senses and do something about it.

Good to see you, Tranquillus!

Who would impeach him, if all the liberals in Congress were arrested??

The way things are in Washington right now...

...neither is the most likely outcome.

The MOST LIKELY...would be that a whole bunch of people would be rounded up and arrested.

Too bad that!

Hello, Aimée! Comment ça va?

I think Trump's support in the higher ranks of the GOP is conditional on him not doing anything too crazy. Trying to set up as dictator would be a step too far.

Très bien, merci! Et vous?

I hope you're right. It would be a step too far, but I would not be surprised if he did try to test that theory.

Republicans care about Trump's snowflake base, they may be dupes but they are voting dupes. As for Trump i'd bet many republicans would wish he went away, especially now that he gave them the one thing that makes them happy, more money more money. Dark money too must wonder if Trump is a blessing or curse as he sure switched the house in a direction dark money doesn't like. Let's face it folks and be honest here, Trump is a dummy, pretty much a failure in all his projects, and if it wasn't for daddy he probably be another whiny right wing finger pointer. It's all their fault.

"What is patriotism? Let us begin with what patriotism is not. It is not patriotic to dodge the draft and to mock war heroes and their families. It is not patriotic to discriminate against active-duty members of the armed forces in one's companies, or to campaign to keep disabled veterans away from one's property. It is not patriotic to compare one's search for sexual partners in New York with the military service in Vietnam that one has dodged. It is not patriotic to avoid paying taxes, especially when American working families do pay. It is not patriotic to ask those working, taxpaying American families to finance one's own presidential campaign, and then to spend their contributions in one's own companies. It is not patriotic to admire foreign dictators. It is not patriotic to cultivate a relationship with Muammar Gaddafi; or to say that Bashar al-Assad and Vladimir Putin are superior leaders. It is not patriotic to call upon Russia to intervene in an American presidential election. It is not patriotic to cite Russian propaganda at rallies." "The trick never ages; the illusion never wears off. Vote to stop abortion; receive a rollback in capital gains taxes. Vote to make our country strong again; receive deindustrialization. Vote to screw those politically correct college professors; receive electricity deregulation. Vote to get government off our backs; receive conglomeration and monopoly everywhere from media to meatpacking. Vote to stand tall against terrorists; receive Social Security privatization. Vote to strike a blow against elitism; receive a social order in which wealth is more concentrated than ever before in our lifetimes, in which workers have been stripped of power and CEOs are rewarded in a manner beyond imagining." Fox would anoint him KING and all his slavering minions would help identifying those among their own communities who need "re-education." Don't forget, according to our gun-humpers here, they have all the firearms.
