Out and about, shopping in stores, there are all these people acting like there is no pandemic at all.

Oh, they can't be bothered to wear a mask or keep distance.

Is that you?

I want to stop them and ask...

What the heck is WRONG with you?

Don't you know there is a pandemic?

Don't you know that wearing a mask and keeping distance saves lives?

Can't you be bothered to protect human life?

Not even this little thing? Just to wear a mask and keep distance is all it takes. Such a little inconvenience to save lives; and you can't be bothered???

I know it's pointless to ask someone. There are so many who don't seem to care. I can't ask them all. So I come here to ask.

Rightwingers have been trained like Pavlov's dogs to believe mask mandates are an assault on freedom and a harbinger of tyranny.

I wanna ask what's wrong with them but there is no point. There are so many.

I want to believe they care about life, but it sure doesn't look like it.
 
Do these people think they are going to be given a badge for insensitivity?

The: "I could have saved lives but I couldn't be bothered award."

My middle daughter is a vet tech. She said a client went ballistic in the waiting room yesterday when informed that everyone must wear a mask in the building. (They are in VT which currently has a high infection rate.) It turned out he had been told the same thing at the previous business he had visited, and was a bundle of raw nerves. He did finally put one on. But WTF is the big deal? Gods, we're infested with fucktards.

Two of my daughters and one son-in-law got it anyways, even though they're vaccinated. They all missed two weeks of work because of it; most employers have a mandatory quarantine period. Only one had sick time. That's a good reason to avoid the plague and those who spread it.

Of course when you never leave the house, it's not as much of a deal as it is to those of us who do, either voluntarily or because we have to work.
