What happened to all the lefty science people who know all the science of coronavirus transmission? I guess our jpp lefty scientists don't even know the size of the coronavirus compared to the size of the holes in masks, let alone what size a droplet nuclei is.

This thread is not a debate about if masks work or not. This thread asks for the size of a droplet nuclei. None of our lefty keyboard scientists has been able to post this basic information.
Ok here is how big droplet nuclei are, according to the WHO: "Respiratory infections can be transmitted through droplets of different sizes: when the droplet particles are >5-10 μm in diameter they are referred to as respiratory droplets, and when then are <5μm in diameter, they are referred to as droplet nuclei." So basically, droplet nuclei are 4μm or smaller. Does anybody know how this size compares to the size of the openings in a mask? Can anybody answer this simple question without getting in a mask debate, accusing me of anything, or evading the question?

Masks vary dramatically based on the components used.
But as few masks are a single flat layer with "holes" c look ear from front to back its moot.
Indeed, the opening sizes on masks vary wildly. Maybe we need to come up with a range from an n95 down to t shirt masks and surgical masks, so we can see which masks stops droplet nuclei.
