I have often thought these spiders were part of the site being slow, could it be? of course I am clueless on all of this so if this was a "stupid" thoughtm feel free to call me a nimnod!

They could be, but they aren't usually so active on the site all at once. I've also taken away the search so that they don't use that bandwidth... They mostly can only look at things. I guess Yahoo decided the site was exciting enough to get serious about indexing...

you would think they didn;t need att and bell telephone and charter communications and mci or verizon either, no?...but they did!
That was for old voice telecommunications, not net stuff.
For net stuff they have their own toys busy monitoring and searching for key words and such.
The govt would like if everyone used net phones like Vonage and such.
Which according to a few people I know that has it sort of sucks from time to time.
