Too permanent big government? Again, Romney wants to tack military spending to GDP. We have never cut government spending without reducing the military budget. How are you going to get your 4% reduction across the board?
Wait a minute, iI thought you were a libertarian 8-9 years ago?
I am not derailing anything. I am pointing out that you are nothing but a troll. That's the discussion.
We already went through those exercises.
What did you want Obama to do in the first 4? Convince ME that you actually wanted him to cut government and then tell us how it is you could support Bush and or Romney.
It will be better than the last 4 of Bush. Why? Obama won't have congress on his side. That's the only reason.
I won't be able to get what I want. Nobody will. Politics is the art of compromise, but the bottom line is that Romney will be forced to dramatically reduce the deficit one way or another. That is preferable to what Obama will do (increase it).
What will voting for Gary Johnson accomplish exactly?
I was a libertarian before I was a conservative, before you even arrived at politics.com. Then I shifted to the right. Now I'm a moderate, and I've been a moderate for about 4 years. You can look at my post history here if you wish. I am not a troll. I grew up, got laid, smoked some weed, and got a career. Who the fuck are you to claim that I'm a troll when you haven't even been around for half a decade? Seriously, fuck you.
Then quit lying and tell us what you really want. It's not less government. As I said, the man wants to pin military spending to GDP. The only time in recent history we even sniffed a balanced budget was due to a peace dividend that began under HW and was accompanied with a rise in income taxes.
Something you don't want. It would send a signal that the people want less government.
I have been here the whole time.
I come and go as I please, and remember that you were NEVER anything but an asexual radical right wing Mormon. I really doubt you have changed. MAYBE, you went into the Temple and lost your virginity. I know about that too. Weeeeiiird!!! Or maybe the weed helped you to stop barfing on girls when they got close. Maybe you are the original Stan?
Your choice of Romney indicates that you have not changed much and your reasons for supporting him are just so much bs. That is all you ever contributed. You always seemed like a troll to me. There are not too many nutjobs left that think homosexuality should be outlawed (as you once did... but we know what that all about) and they certainly are not libertarian, nor were they ever libertarians.
My money is on all troll. That is all I ever thought of you as.
By the way, I was on politics.com when it opened. I was one of the original moderators and use to kick lots of Demopublican ass there. But I got bored with it and went off to do the things you lie about doing.
Libertarians have been running for President for 40 years. Apparently the "signal" was lost in transit?
Prior to August, you hadn't regularly participated since mid-2010 - before I rejoined the site. Prior to that, I wasn't even around for a couple years.
My choice of Romney is a pragmatic one. Either Obama or Romney is going to win in November. NOT Gary Johnson. Given the choice between the two, I will vote for the one that is closest to what I believe.
My disagreements with Romney are numerous, including gay issues (I'm for gay marriage) and climate change (I'm for cap & trade).
I have 3100 posts that contradict your claim.
Stop it. You don't want to cut the size of government. You are a faux libertarian. i guess you think it makes you look cool. Or maybe you just want to legalize pot
Pimp your momma.Democrats seem very optimistic about Obama - not only his chances in November, but also the next four years in the event that the President secures a second term. I wish I were able to share their optimism. That said, I do not wish to be closed-minded on the subject. So here is your opportunity, Democrats, to persuade me - without using the word "Romney" - how Obama will be able to do in a second term what he failed to do in his first. Why should Barack Obama be reelected?
Does that mean if the economy recovers back to the preBush days you will vote for Hilliary?I'm no democrat, but Obama deserves to own the recovery or the failure should the economy get worse. Give the democrats 4 more years so we can stop hearing excuses and shifting blame.
