What Would Trump Supporters HAVE Without Whataboutism? They Can't Defend Trump. Just

Diversity Makes Greatness
Ever notice how most Trump supporters are quick to deflect when President Trump is criticized?

"What about Hillary?"

"What about Obama?"

What about staying on subject and answering a question!!! Is a focused train of thought THAT elusive? Are attention spans really THAT short? Well, we know one person who has an attention span the size of a gnat.

Now, to be truthful, they are only following their leader. If anybody asks Trump a question he doesn't want to answer, he simply doesn't answer it and instead goes on the attack.

Deflect. Divert. It's like the man is incapable of discussing a subject he doesn't like. Instead of dealing with troubling issues, he simply changes the subject. If he was honest he would just say: "Oh, I don't want to talk about that. Let's talk about something I want to talk about." (Usually himself.)

The man is incoherent.

All he does is whip up hatred. He works just like a commercial. He uses emotion to sell his ideas.

And he's really good at it.

I do not see Trump supporters as stupid.

I see them as taken in.

Fear and hatred are no ways to make a country great.

Actually it is a lie to say America is not great. We were already a great nation before he was ever born. We are always trying to make it greater. Sometimes we do better than others, but we are always trying to make it greater. President Trump has brought us nothing new. He just wanted power because he lusts after wealth and fame. The two are synonymous to him because his name is his brand, and his brand is worth big money. To him, there is no bad publicity. It all just publicity, and he craves it. That's why he can't stop tweeting. His ego is too fat because he tweets too much. He needs to stop tweeting so much so his ego can lose some weight.

His father was not a very good father, so Trump is always trying to prove himself. He is looking for the approval he never got as a child. He believes his own BS, and he is trying to convince others of how great HE is.

The problem is that cultured people, people with class, know he is a fake, a phony, a liar, a cheat, a boor, a chauvinist, a xenophobe, selfish, cheap, inconsiderate, nasty, inappropriate, wrong, deceitful, shallow, sad, a poor father, a misogynist, a racist, poorly read, a braggart, distasteful, insulting, lacking in basic morals, a traitor, disloyal, and not worth having as a friend. President Trump is SHUNNED by people with class. They don't want to have anything to do with him.

Sophisticated people can see right through him. They know a slick-talker when they see one.

So in order to divert attention away from all of his MANY misgivings, President Trump routinely diverts any discussion away from his failings and ALWAYS points the finger at somebody else.

It makes sense after he went around the nation leading rallies of people chanting: 'Lock her up,' that he never did so. If he did put Hillary away, he would take away one of the biggest motivators for his crowds. Having her as a constant threat, helps him keep his followers hateful and emotionally charged, helps hold his grasp of power.

Trump survives on having a Boogie-Man. He always has to have somebody to hate, somebody to fire up the emotions of his followers. Somebody to say: "What about ... ?"

President Trump is a classic demagogue.

Man- you better know and understand- that Republicans do not give a shit about what is right or wrong- legal, or not legal- qualified or unqualified- real or fake news- moral, or immoral, what is true vs. what is false- when it comes to getting something they want.

We are talking about Republicans here who will do anything to win elections and get their way at any cost- no matter what!

Hello Adolf_Twitler,

They used to.

And there are still some hold outs like Romney.

Robmoney?

he is merely trying to inherit what is left of the republican party

He is evil and will destroy peoples lives for money

Hello Nordberg,

Trump has thrown politics so askew that Romney seems reasonable. He is not.

I know, right?

I never thought I would see Romney as a more preferable candidate. My how times change.

But then, I thought Trump's campaign would be a joke like every other time he 'ran.'

I was totally with Jon Stewart. I laughed my ass off when Trump announced with all that fanfare.

But to me, I didn't know anything about his TV popularity. I don't watch commercial TV, don't have cable, don't want it. They lost me when the bill went over $10 a month.

So I didn't know anything about The Apprentice, didn't know how much our country loves to derive pleasure from the misfortune of others. I guess I had heard of the show and heard that he was famous for firing people, and I did think that was weird and sick. Like who wants to get fired on TV? I have been fired before. It is usually no fun, and can be personally devastating. Life changing. And trump thinks its fun to wreck people's lives. This is what he does for amusement. I was not impressed. No. To make entertainment out of this seemed deranged.

I was clueless what a star Trump had become. All I knew about him was he was this kook who had a lot of money, went bankrupt, somehow came back, ended up on TV, and said outrageous shocking things that were not substantiated. I didn't think anybody would take him seriously. I thought it was a joke. When Jon Stewart laughed so hard, I was laughing right along with him. I could hardly believe it when he began to advance in the primaries. I wondered what had happened to the Republican party I thought I knew.

Well that was then and this is now. And now I see people who believe made-up fake news over the real news, and I see this buffoon in the McWhite House who is this big embarrassment to our country and I wonder how it all came about.

Part of it is these people who have no attention span. Trump speaks directly to them. He is on their wavelength. Lack of attention span seems to be really popular these days. You have to watch what you say in a conversation in our culture now. If you try to say anything detailed or intricate, you run the very real chance of losing listeners' attention. You stand a very real chance of somebody simply interrupting you, completely changing the subject, and then nobody ever asks about whatever complex thing you began to explain a moment prior. If it's more than a sound byte, you're toast on the keep-their-attention scale.

Trump is perfect for our nation of short attention span misinformed non-thinkers.

Stewart quit in Aug of 2015. If he stayed on through the election, Trump may have lost. John had the ability to point out problems with humor. He would have had a field day with Daffy. Trevor took a long time to get the feel.

Yup...right on the button, Poli.

In fact, even some not so cultured people know all those things about him.

He wants so much to belong.

Even as an ex-president...he won't!

Good morning, Frank.

Yup...right on the button, Poli.

In fact, even some not so cultured people know all those things about him.

He wants so much to belong.

Even as an ex-president...he won't!

Hopefully we'll find out how he behaves as an ex-president rather soon!

:)
