When even leftist professors can't avoid being canceled

I dont know much about this professor other than what he shares in this article and it seems like he's a nut but apparently even he isn't enough of a believer for the woke cultists. Get this, this crazy bastard wanted to have a seminar where students actually discussed topics. Where opposing views would be heard and ultimately shot down by him but some didn't even want to hear any opposing points of view whatsoever. Once again I think the guys a nut but it s fascinating to see how some zealots behave even with their own. This is a bit lengthy but a good read.

This is the kind of thing they do in North Korea. If you don't have the proper response you will be punished. It's the woke inquisition

It took a bit to wade through that article, in part because it was badly written. That aside, the whole reads--poorly by comparison--like Lord of the Flies. When the students run the classroom, they learn little or nothing. They are students for a reason, and this 'professor' forgot that. Students are there because they don't know what to learn yet, and that's the job of the teacher. The teacher chooses the material and presents it in a manner that reaches some objective. The students don't get a vote on that.

Keisha in this academic's story is Ralph (Lord of the Flies). She becomes the dictator of the seminar and the professor stupidly lets it happen. Yes, it is very much N. Korea. His seminar fell apart because he allowed the students to run it, and in turn, one of them was an evil totalitarian dictator.

What it tells me is that the seminars put on by Telluride, if this one is typical of them, are worthless as tits on a pump handle. It would have been far more interesting to have a student in the group that stood up to Keisha and told her fuck off than the bunch of whiney, compliant weasels that went along with her. I could easily see her getting physically violent in such a case, and that would have pretty much ended her reign of terror, being arrested.

This is spot on. It is poorly written but the point is clear the inmates are running the asylum. The problem is this is what passes for "education" these days and people wonder why things are so fucked up.
