MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
Lately there have been many posts that call for "better" gun control and since it seems that by "better", liberals appear to want to limit the ability of law abiding citizens to defend themselves.

Therefore; I've started this thread for a place where someone was able to use a firearm to defend either themselves or someone else.


If someone finds the NEED to try to use this as a way to promote their idea that law abiding citizens are a threat to themselves or others; then you are capable of starting your own thread, so please do so.
 
Would-be carjacker fatally shot by driver with concealed carry permit, police say

A would-be carjacker demanded a driver’s keys at gunpoint but was fatally shot by the man, who also has a concealed weapon permit, police said.

A 22-year-old man driving a Volkswagen rear-ended a 41-year-old driver of a BMW, WGN reported.

The man in the BMW got out, checked the damage, then went back to his car to get his phone. Police said, the Volkswagen driver walked over with a gun to the BMW driver and pushed him into the car, WGN reported.

The driver of the BMW grabbed his gun and shot the other man in the head, WGN reported.

Neither men have been identified.

It is unclear if charges will be filed against the surviving man, who has no criminal history and a valid concealed weapon permit, the Chicago Tribune reported.

"Detectives still have not made a determination as to whether charges are warranted,’’ police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi told the Chicago Tribune. "We have not found a link between the 41-year-old Chicago man and the offender, but we’re certainly looking at that to make sure that nothing could have precipitated this."

Police say husband, wife killed suspected burglar at Houston home

Police say a husband and wife shot and killed a man who allegedly broke into their Houston home.

KHOU reported that, according to police, the homeowners heard noises coming from their back door. When they investigated, they saw that the back door had been forced open and noticed someone in their backyard.

Police said the two shot at the suspect multiple times, KPRC reported. Firefighters pronounced the suspect dead at the scene, according to KHOU. The suspect’s identity has not been released.

Detectives said surveillance cameras on a nearby home captured the gunshots and showed the man walking down the street.

Authorities told KTRK the couple went outside after the shooting and put their weapons on the ground as they waited for police to arrive.

Police said the homeowners will likely not be charged, according to KTRK.

To USFREEDOM911: Good thread. I would add that self-defense is impossible when the public does not have guns.

Parenthetically, media mouths and leading Democrats conned the public into believing that abolishing the Second Amendment is all about disarming white men. The Chicago sewer rat meant men when he said “They cling to guns or religion.” That was Obama’s direct appeal to women voters on the assumption that women do not need guns.

Take this to to the bank: Disarming women is more more important to Democrat gun-grabbers than is disarming a bunch of good ol’ boys with gun racks in their pickups.

Bottom line: Democrats have every reason to disarm women. QUESTION: Did you ever see a woman miss when she shot at a man?

ANSWER: NO —— especially if American women ever start shooting at Socialists/Communists.

I'm a supporter of women knowing how to use a firearm and them using it, with extreme prejudice, if necessary.
 
2 masked teens shot, 1 killed by security guard at Walgreens

A security guard at a Walgreens store in Harris County, Texas, shot two masked teenagers Saturday night, killing one of them after an encounter with the pair as they approached the store, according to news reports.

The guard came around a corner outside the store and ordered the teens to stop, but one of them pulled a gun, according to the Houston Chronicle.

The guard opened fire, striking both teens, who were later identified as 16- and 18-year-old cousins, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzales confirmed on social media.

The 16-year-old was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries and later died. The 18-year-old suffered a leg wound and is expected to recover. He also facing aggravated robbery charges, Gonzales said.

The investigation is continuing.

LANCASTER, CALIFORNIA — While some will comment that the title of this article is unnecessary, it’s blunt and to the point. It shows just how ready the millions of Armed Americans are, and what they’re willing to do when someone attempts to invade their home.

It’s nice to see an armed homeowner able to successfully defend himself, his family and his home. We never want to hear of anyone being killed, even the bad guys, but it’s an occupational hazard if you’re going to make the decision to break into someone’s home.

As soon as that happened, as far as this father was concerned, it’s his family or the bad guy. And guess what; he’s going to choose his family over the bad guy every time.

Neighbors told reporters that the incident left them feeling uneasy and less safe, but they understood the decisions that the father made.

“I would do the same thing,” said one of their neighbors, Darrell Jones.

This is just one of many home invasion stories that we’ve covered over the years, and always brings up the question; How close if your firearm to you when you’re at home? If it’s not readily accessible, such as is true for some households with small children, time yourself. How long does it take you to access your firearm and have it ready to go? The results may surprise you, and you could find yourself re-thinking it’s location and access.

I will renounce violence once the criminals, terrorist and evil people in the world do the same.
There has never been world peace and there never will be.
If you get rid of the guns, people will find another means to kill each other.

‘Intruder' killed in home invasion had court order against him

Woman had 2 children with man who police say she shot and killed

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A woman shot and killed a man who broke into her Ortega Farms home on the Westside, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.
News4Jax has learned the woman had a temporary restraining order against him.

According to a petition for an injunction for protection against domestic violence, the 25-year-old woman and the 24-year-old man had two children together, but broke up in March. Since then, she said, he had threatened to kill her. There was a hearing on the injunction scheduled for Wednesday morning.

Just after midnight Wednesday, police said they received multiple 911 calls about gunfire on Catoma Street near Timuquana Road, including one from the woman who said she shot an intruder. She told arriving officers that the man was still inside her apartment.

Homicide detectives said officers found an unidentified man lying on the floor by the master bedroom with multiple gunshot wounds. Fire Rescue personnel said the man was dead.

Neighbors who live right across from the apartment where this happened also told News4Jax that the woman who lives in the apartment knew the intruder and said he was the father of her two children.

News4Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson said if someone is forcefully entering your house, you have a right to protect yourself.
