When the Republicans took the Democrats place on race.

They were the original progressives.

Things change and we need to change with them.
 
They sold out to the corporations for money


they are now the "fill my pocket" party



they will take anyones money and will feel NO SHAME about it
 
I was going to say after we wrote the Civil Rights Acts of 1957, 1960, and 1964, and overcame Democratic filibusters. Oh, it must have been our opposition to the fascist forced busing!

You realize the GOP became the party of big business right after it won the Civil War, right? Since the Dems came back into political relevance in 1930, they have been trying to outpace the GOP on this matter.
