I propose the following list of sanctions as punishment for those who took away the freedom and self-determination of the American people:
- All laws passed, all positions appointed, all executive orders promulgated, and all legal precedents set during the time of the coup are to be immediately and permanently be reversed
- All Republicans in a government position in the United States are to be immediately imprisoned, and their families separated, until such a time as it is decided that they are no longer a threat to America and its people
- Indemnities are to be levied on states that truly voted Trump (so not Wisconsin, Michigan, or Pennsylvania), in the amount of 5 trillion dollars, payable to the patriotic citizens of the blue states
- All states that truly voted Trump are to be immediately stripped of all senators, representatives, and electoral votes, and their citizens are to be reduced to residents with no right to vote or participate in a jury trial - juries will be appointed from blue states as necessary. This will be the law until the last Trump supporter breathes their last breath, after which they will be restored to full membership of the union.
- All corporations, and people with income above 250k, are to be levied back taxes as if the tax law of 2017 were never passed. They are also to be charged with looting of the public treasury for their attempts to bribe congress into exempting them from their rightful due to society
- The second amendment shall be judged to no longer apply to the former US citizens, now US residents, in the Trump coup supporting states
- The first amendment shall also no longer apply to them, Trump supporters will be jailed for publicly expressing reactionary views, all churches are to be shut down in their states and they are to be subject to a program of forcible secularization, so that America may never be subject to the whims of a fanatical religious cult like Evangelical Christianity ever again, or any cult leaders, such as Trump, that may come to be. Fox News, Breitbart, and all Trump supporters publications are to be immediately and forcibly shut down, until the last Trump supporter breathes their last breath.
I believe these are reasonable and moderate measures, given the level of damage the Trump coup did to America.
