Try to eliminate the "why".
Does the American citizen carrying the Confederate Flag into our Capitol as a form of protest upset you more or less than a potential US Olympian turning her bag during the National Anthem?

Which?
One is a picture of a dumbass wandering around with a flag. The other is a picture of a dumbass wearing make up and skimpy clothes while in an athletic activity where she could possibly become an ambassador of our nation at a world event outside the US and is making a useless and meaningless political gesture showing her hatred for the nation sponsoring her.
Who here doesn't understand that one of them is breaking the law and the other is not?
OTOH, both might soon be unemployed even though Gwen's future is brighter than the dumbass criminal Kevin Seefried who is waiting judgment.

You didn't read the fucking link, didja? So, some guy walking through the Capitol with a Confederate battle flag, watched by a capitol police officer who did nothing, is charged with a minor misdemeanor and you think that's worse than some wantabe athlete who seems more interested in her sexuality and appearance than sport who makes a flagrant political statement at a major event where if she did well enough she'd be representing the US in the Olympics. Okay I guess you hate your country and want to punish anyone who takes a different political view from your own...
Why bring a Confederate flag into the US Capitol?
