Democrats call out their own to hold racists accountable, unlike "MAGA" Republicans, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said Tuesday.

Asked whether or not members of the Los Angeles City Council who were caught making racist remarks should resign, Jean-Pierre said yes, then added that her response differentiates President Joe Biden from GOP leaders.

How were they held accountable? "Accountability" has become a meaningless clichè.

In this particular case she resigned her President position and may ultimately resign her seat. But it’s low hanging fruit in a sense when you look at the totality of what she said there was no chance she was surviving.

But now Jean-Pierre has set a standard. The obvious low hanging fruit to disprove her is Biden’s racist “you ain’t black” comment. They held him “accountable” for that by electing him President. (because unlike Republicans they are principled and aren’t obsessed with power.). We can look at anti-semetic remarks members of the squad have made. Again, how have they been held accountable? And we can go on and on.

She tried to score a point but it will be used going forward every time someone does something now.

I dont disagree with any of this but in what way did her opinions impact her work as council president or as a council member? I haven't seen a list of things she did because of her opinions that show people were damaged as a result of her opinions.
