1) Are the republicans supporting a bill that would mandate that Insurance companies must keep people on there old plans? What if the Health Insurance company wants to drop them?

2) Looks like the White House is going to propose a fix to the Health Care bill today.. Lets hope that its a bill to grandfather people into their old plans as long as the insurance companies outline where the plan falls short of Obamacare requirements, as long as the insured chooses to keep it, and as long as the insurance company chooses to offer it.

This plan would make for a slower transition to the full requirements of Obamacare, but that may be a good thing, slow transitions seem to work better for those afraid of change.

I've always said that Obamacare needs to be adjusted and fixed, lets DO It!

it will be fun to see idiot tea party tards keep shitty costly crappy insurance just because they hate Obama

Under Obamacare, they cannot grandfather old policies in. That is the grand lie from Obama and Democrats. Insurers are being forced to provide policies that cover a generic specific set of coverages regardless of age or need at a specific cost per-negotiated by State Insurance commissions. If they do not meet those requirements under the law, they can be sued.

It is a convenient catch-22 in a very poorly written law passed by legislators who didn't know what was contained in the law when they voted for it.

This law will serve to devastate the Insurance business over the next few years to the point that few will be left that can afford to provide plans at subsidized rates. This will cause the collapse leftists want to see so that the Big Government Statists can implement universal care run by the Socialist State.

There's a reason for the shortages in care in Europe and high personal tax rates with gas prices three times what Americans pay. Pretty soon, America will be in the same shitty state Europe is. A place with permanently high unemployment rates, low productivity rates, fewer choices, more malaise and much higher costs and taxes.

Well, Sir. If they pass a bill grandfathering in the old plans, they can do it.

They can't; what part of lawsuit do you not comprehend. The Insurance companies will not grandfather regardless of any inept fake attempts by Democrats to prop up the mess they have created.

You see, if Congress passes a law amending Obamacare saying they can do it,... then they nobody can sue, simple. Our Congress has the power to amend Obamacare. Obamacare needs amending and it seems that the support exists to do it.

Do you oppose amending Obamacare so that people can keep their current plans?

What part of they cannot do this do you not comprehend? Congress will not pass such laws because for Obama and Democrats, it will unravel Obamacare. Insurance companies will not maintain existing plans because of the cost and mandates of Obamacare.

Think before you type; you might like it.

Will not and can not are two different things.

Does Truth Detector oppose this bill you say will unravel Obamacare?

Does Truth Detector oppose changing Obamacare to allow people to keep insurance plans they currently have?

Will not and can not are two different things.

Obamacare relies on smacking people with high premiums and coverage they don't need to support affordable premiums and subsidies for those who can't afford health insurance otherwise.

Allowing people to revert back to cheap and inexpensive catastrophic type policies will drain too much money from the system for it to stay afloat. The GOP could pass it, but the House Dems, Senate, and Obama couldn't sign onto it. It would merely hasten the demise of Obamacare.

Unless they were willing to forestall complete calamity until after the election. But I doubt even they are that evil.
