My all-time favorite is Sir George Martin, the architect of the sound of The Beatles. Followed by Phil Spector, a musical genius, but unfortunately crazy as a loon, Jimmy Page, who produced ALL of Led Zeppelin's recordings, Barry Gordy, the creator and mastermind of Motown records, and Leonard and Phil Chess, creators and masterminds of Chess Records, THE best blues music label all-time, IMO. Honorable Mention - Sam Phillips, creator and mastermind of Sun Records.
