I cant belive that Huckleberry will achually get the Republican nomination but the question becomes... does his rise sink Rudy and put Romney on top?

I think it shows that even the Rs want a kinder gentler time in America.

Huckabee is talking some very democratic social warm and gooey stuff aint he?

America is tired of being the asshole on the block and wants to go back to being the diplomatic level headed leader it used to be.

No more tuff talk from leaders with half loaded brains.

Those days are gone and the R tuff guy like some are still trying to do is doomed.

I don't know who benefits, but I know who loses .. the Republican Party.

Huckabee's rise demonstrates that neither Guiliani, Romney, McCain, or Thompson have what it takes to be the decisive leader of the party. If a darkhorse like Huckabee can rise to the top, it means that the top wasn't very far off the ground.

Huckabee and Romney put religious nutcase voters and organizations back in control of the ever-diminishing Republican Party.

Evangelical support is the core of the party left worth courting. Hes been a pastor and wears his religion on his sleave. Hes got what it takes to move the republican base.

Be proud be very proud .

He has what it takes to move the Republican Party into becoming the Whigs.

Religion is bullshit, and while he's wearing his "faith" on his sleeve he still supports the continuing mass-murder of innocent people.

I just love that Jarod keeps calling him "Huckleberry." Makes me want him to win the nomination even more. :)

Romney / Huckabee '08

Joe Liberman, Secretary of Defense

Bill Bennett, Secretary of State

Alan Keyes, Head / Department of Education

The mullahs have arrived.

All this shows is that the rest of the pack are splitting the much bigger non-religious right vote.
In a one on one match with McCain, Thompson, Rudy or Romney, Hucklebee would never win.

Not so sure about that.........

Huckabee moved to 24%...above all of those you just listed...go figure!

I know man, I'm saying in one-on-one, Hucklebee would be around 40 and the other guy at 60. But Hucklebee's supporters see him as the religious right guy and he eats up most of that support.
Whereas other Repubs who vote on other things are more split.

I would prefer Duncan Hunter...however Huckabee seems to be the leader...I don't agree with him on all the issues...but nor do I any other candidate...so he may be the best bet...

he's still 3% behind rudy, I say it hurts Mcain the only serious contender but he's way too old. Rudy will win and lose a near landslide to Hillary.
Huckaby is the flavor of the week, people are bored. He'll faid like Obama and most flavor of the weeks pretenders do.
