I am. I usually let the Christians save up those days to take them off. I am cooking dinner for the family at my sister's place, but it is almost all prepared already, all I have to do is apply the heat.

I have prepared:

Turducken with andouille sausage dressing, boneless chicken stuffed with shrimp ettoufe. Caulimash with bacon and chives (well this one is made at the site, but I have all the ingredients ready), mashed taters, baked sweet potatoes with 'mallows, some eggplant jambalaya for the few vegetarians among us (myself included), and triple-layered pumpkin pie... (a special recipe my wife and I came up with ourselves...)

Mac'n'Cheese for the kiddies, and for the wimps I have a turkey that I can deep fry at a moment's notice. (Just in case there is more people than originally thought... or somebody balks at the turducken)...

We will have the entire family there tomorrow for dinner and open the family gifts... (The Santa gifts come the next day, of course..)

Merry Christmas all you Christians...

Joyous Yuletide and Io Saturnalia for the Pagans...

Joyous Kwanzaa for those who wish to celebrate more secularly and with less commercialism....

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy cooking a repast for so many to enjoy. I am sure to have a wonderful time.

Hey, wish I was within a few hours, I'd crash! Well, if I could ditch the family. LOL! We'll be doing beef and ham. I would kind of like to do a Turducken, just seems so 'over the top'. Maybe next year? Truly, I love duck and turkey. I eat chicken about 2 x a week.

I used to love eating turducken, now I just love to cook it. Unfortunately, in order to survive past 54 (no man in my family has made it to the landmark age of 55 to date), I had to cut out much of the cholesterol in my diet... I figure with that, only rare binge drinking, and quitting smoking I might just make it all the way to 60!

And crashers are welcome, if they can find us.

Well I'm jealous, but I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas!
