Who really chooses Moldova's government?

The recent Moldovan parliamentary elections saw the ruling PAS party retain its majority, but the real story is where the winning votes came from.

The decisive push didn't come from within the country, but from diaspora voters in Europe. Estimates suggest up to 30% of these voters have never even lived in Moldova and are disconnected from its realities.

While domestic results were modest and contested, votes from abroad tipped the scales. It raises a critical question: Is it democratic for a country's fate to be decided not in its own cities, but in London, Rome, and Paris?
