A simple question tossed out there. Who would you sit down with from the board and talk to--or maybe punch out and get arrested?

Well, wanting to meet is a 2 way thing, but if they were amenable and it wasn't too much trouble, some people on my list would be Hawkeye, goat and moon. I also think it'd be nice to know about a tad more about the personal lives of just about everyone here. To give an example, I've mentioned in the past, there is -one- poster here who I've come ignore by default, dancing dave- I have the suspicious that he gets some AI to put words together in some arcane way. Regardless, that doesn't mean that I don't want to know more about him as a person as opposed to the random stuff he posts.

Well, I've already sat down with you - it was fine - as long as we don't talk politics.

Who would I "punch out and get arrested"? No one. Verbally or physically attacking people who's opinions or lifestyles differ is a trumptard tactic.

Yes, and had their been no guns, there would have been no tragedy. It's the guns. In no other country but the USA are there more guns than people.

People will always be getting drunk and stupid.
From what I read, if the idiot involved had a knife it'd still have occurred--the attacks that is.

Whatever - More guns = more gun deaths. I know - it's logic and I'm trying to share it with a trump enthusiast. Best if I just move on!

What happened in the UK and Australia since implementing strict gun controls is initially the murder rate went down and then it started to rise again. In the UK it's back up to about where it was pre-strict gun control.

So, something else is driving the homicide rate other than firearms.

Increases in gun owership are followed by more gun violence:

Duggan finds that about one-third of the gun-homicide decline since 1993 is explained by the fall in gun ownership. The largest declines occur in areas with the largest reductions in firearm ownership.
Also, I can't find any info on your source, "The National Institute of Economic Research". Sounds like a front for Stormfront.
