Indoctrination into critical thinking? Why is that bad?
Because when a professor asks a question about a controversial subject and virtually every student in the classroom has the same opinion there ain't much critical thinking going on.

Yes the data is the data. I've seen nobody dispute the data with any other set. We are arguing about "why" until someone does.
I've heard your theory also. The advanced theory in the OP logically coexists with yours. Someone open to new ideas can also be one who values critical discourse.
Of course detractors say its a bunch of hooey and kids are just sent to colleges full of liberal indoctrination. They have yet to tell me how "liberal indoctrination"
became the extant condition of the intelligentsia such that these coneheads in the ivory towers are all liberals and not "common sense" authoritarians who believe
in self determinism, free markets, god and country.
Math, stats, chemistry, physics, astronomy, computers don't have any political persuasion. That can go a long way to explaining why those steeped in those fields
might tend to be conservative by default, having not studied humanities, political science, sociology, psychology etc. If you don't study something, it's hard to be good at it.![]()

I take it you've never been in a college classroom.
Don't you get it ... they're so smart they think they can make socialism work this time ... it just wasn't done right all those other times before.
Waiting for the "Compassionate Socialist" meme to appear.

A doctor at what????????????????
Neo liberals are conservative. They believe in market freedoms.

Conservatives are rare in STEM, and social conservatives are almost unheard of. I cannot imagine someone believing in creationism, and also working in a biology field. It would be as strange as a ship navigator believing the world is flat.
I could picture a social conservative still existing in the professional degrees, like a lawyer.
Plenty of them ... kinda required to get an engineering degree.
I stand corrected. I associated neoliberism with modern liberalism. Sounds like neoliberals are basically classical liberals (myself).Neo liberals are conservative. They believe in market freedoms.

Your comment is worthless.

So your school was worthless because it was just indoctrination?
So your school was worthless because it was just indoctrination?
Yes ... I was indoctrinated into civil engineering at a major university.
But I survived and even made a living from it.
