So, if I understand what has happened tonight...

The House passed a bill that required insurance companies to pay for abortions...

Then they passed a bill that would change that if it is approved by the Sennate....

And every REPUBLICAN voted against the "PRO-LIFE" bill???

Id use that in my ad if I were running against one of them!

You could if they hadn't spent a week telling people they were going to do it and why.

You dont remember when Kerry explained in detail why he "voted for the bill after he voted against the bill"?

You dont think that the opponants of the "Pro-Life" Democrats wont be saying that that they voted for abortion to be covered, even though they immideatly voted to change that?

Flatly, no. It won't hurt them. They did it in an attempt to kill the entire bill. It caused Obama to write out his executive order restricting all federal spending on abortions. It was a largely successful political move.

He had already done the executive order....

It would be a dirty trick, but one the Republicans have used often.... Democrats seem to be above that.... that seems to be why they keep loosing the PR war!

No, he hadn't. He had barely done the executive order just before the full vote in order to secure the votes that their vote had once again put into flux.

You must be confused, he did the executive order earlier today, the vote I am talking about was late tonight!

No, you are confused. The executive order was held until just before the vote, they had spokespeople reporting that they hoped it would be unnecessary.

Maybe I am confused, but even by your account it was done before the vote!

*sigh*

Let me put it into a time line for you.

1. The republicans voted on this amendment.
2. The vote caused some Ds to go in flux on the bill.
3. The executive order was signed.
4. The vote on the full bill was done.

The executive order came out about a half-hour before debate began on the vote for the final bill.

The "Changes" I am talking about are the "reconsilitation bill" they passed just after passing the Full Health Care Bill!

The vote against the abortion wording happened before the full vote on the first bill, reconciliation hit the table and was voted without amendments to it at that time. I was watching it on CSPAN all day, dude. You are flatly wrong about this.

You simply have your time line all out of joint and are mistaken on what it will do for the republicans. I fully hope that the Democrats attempt to push that, because that will mean that the debate is the health care bill that was passed today as we near election time. That, IMO, will virtually ensure that the republicans will retake the house, if not the Senate.

do you think any conservative would find you credible?...."yes, I support abortion, but vote for me anyway because I'm in favor of a health care bill you opposed and your candidate voted against it because he opposed abortion".....and you call that using it AGAINST them?.....

If I understand it correctly, the reconsilation bill, the fix it bill, changes the Abortion language to prevent federal funding, am I wrong?

It isn't law, Jarod. The reconciliation bill has never been considered by the Senate.

what's funny is, you seem to believe posts like this make you sound smarter than conservatives.......

I laugh at religious fanatics like you, I'm glad you don't like what I say. This is why your party is getting it's ass kicked for years know. News flash separation of Church and state.
