After WW I, the allies actually sent troops into Russia to fight the Bolsheviks. So even back then, most people probably knew what monsters the Bolsheviks and Stalin were. On that point, not backing Hitler in WW II makes no sense. Next, Russia was mostly an oriental country. probably from them having had been ruled by the Mongol Golden Horde for centuries. Germany was a more advanced, civilized and "Western" country. Again, not backing Hitler makes no sense.
Another reason could be because after WW I, Germany had around 65 billion in GOLD stolen from it as reparations for WW I. A war that Germany just got sucked into like everybody else. Maybe the reason they didn't back Hitler was because when he came to power, he put a stop to those reparations payments. (Germany made their final WW I reparations payment in 2010)
Maybe this next reason is the right one. Unemployment was rampant in Germany before Hitler came to power. Germans also literally need a wheelbarrow full of money to buy just a loaf of bread with. Hitler fixed all that. Maybe the reason the allies didn't back Hitler was he PROVED that National Socialism was better (and still is) than the democracy cult of the Allies.
Also, when Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939, probably because of ethnic Germans in Poland being murdered, it didn't take long for the allies to declare war on Germany. But when Russia did the same 2 or 3 weeks later, war wasn't declared on them. Neither was it when Russia invaded Finland on November 30, 1939. Then, on June 22, 1941, Germany invaded Russia. Most likely because the Germans found out that Russia was about to invade them. What did the U.S. do when Germany invaded Russia? They started sending Russia supplies and munitions! Even though we weren't at war with Germany yet.
Apart from war profiteering or the other possible reasons, I will give you what I think are the two main reasons why we didn't support Hitler. First, to many Christians, a good way to prove the power of their imaginary god is to support the jewish people. And before war put an end to the program, Germany DARED to deport 60 to 70% of their jews to Palestine under The Haavara Agreement.
The other reason comes in the form of two pictures. The first is a picture from the first "talkie" that the jew Charlie Chaplin ever did. No doubt there was other BS jewish anti-Nazi propaganda around. And far more later on. The second picture and quote of a jew who was the head of the Russian NKVD. This one jew alone is said to have orchestrated the deaths of at least 10 million people! There is no great shame in having been suckered. But it is the ultimate in pathetic if you choose to remain suckers.
