The CPR deal is indicative of a wider problem. Every summer here we get local reports of black kids, usually males between 10-18, or drowning in public pools. WTF? Really? You can't frickin' swim? Babies know instinctively how to hold their breathe underwater.

My parents made sure that I learned how to swim and how to use my mind. I did the same with my kids. They need these skills to a) survive and b) to prosper.

In addition to CPR classes we need to build pools in the inner cities and give them free swimming lessons

Obviously the coloreds are disproportionately affected by a lack of swimming pools.
