A group of religious-minded House members are rising up to challenge Vanderbilt University for telling Christian campus groups they cannot require their leaders to share their faith and values.

The Congressional Prayer Caucus has sent a strongly worded letter to Vanderbilt Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos and Board of Trust Chairman Mark Dalton chastising the university for creating what the lawmakers say is an “environment that is hostile” to the existence of religious groups on campus.

So we should only give tax dollars to those jesuit colleges? For indoctrinating about the evils of evolution and abortion?
 
You've got a point. Why if everyone recieved a quality liberal arts education and learned how to think critically there wouldn't be any conservatives left.

Yes, but Jesuits are the bad boy branch of the Catholic Church, the thinking branch. There are a lot of Jesuit rebels. There are quite a few who have been silenced by the Church.

Phhhlllbbbttt Jesuit schools have some very fine liberal arts schools. OK, so they're not so hot in science or technology and produce MBA's and accountants by the bushel they're still fine liberal arts schools.

You're quite right. John Paul II wrote a papal bull stating the Catholic Church support of the scientific basis of biological evolution as long it was not used to question the origins of the human soul. It's mainly evengelical and fundamentalist protestants who oppose evolutionary theory.
 
Why should we give tax dollars to any colleges?

You want an education you pay for it.
