APP - Why, or why not, is America a great country?

The moral triumph of America is that it has extended the benefits of comfort and affluence, traditionally enjoyed by a very few, to a large segment of society.

This is something uniquely American? It's not something present in, you know, basically every developed country?

This article pats America on the back a lot for doing things that it's in no way unique or excellent in doing. It's like giving a kid an A++++ because they were able to tie their shoes. America's such a special snowflake! Here's a participation trophy.

Egads, Dinesh D'Souza does little except criticize our democratically elected president et al, and then condemns others for their criticisms. Something is truly twisted in your thinking when all you do is claim the sky is falling and then suddenly discover the reason it is falling is because of them over there. Sorry but I can't take the man seriously, he is a talking head who makes his living doing what he now accuses others of.

"There is no need to sally forth, for it remains true that those things which make us human are, curiously enough, always close at hand.
