Those inflicted with the religious mental illness often complain about 'freedom of religion' whenever anyone attempts to restrict them imposing their madness on society and government.
But government needs freedom from religion. It needs to be secular.
If it doesn't, other freedoms die. Freedom of speech that doesn't conform to religious sensibilities flies out of the window. Freedom of expression that doesn't conform to religious sensibilities flies out of the window. Eventually, with the concept of sin, freedom of thought dies.
Unless you fiercely keep your government secular, religious madness will devastate your government and leave you resembling one of the many religious states in the ME.
