Above this, as I type, is an ad for Gmail. I just want to ask WHY? Email is email is email. They are all free and all keep sending Nigerian letters telling you your great uncle has died and left you millions. Can someone please explain?
And despite being asked to get the f*** off my comp they all refuse. I have tried, with no success. to charge them 10 US cents every time based on the fact that the machine is mine and all bills are met by me and i dont want to here about their product.
Google must be based in the wilds of Borneo or Kazakstan or somewhere because they just don't understand the words 'Fuck off'.
 
As a rule I despise google. As far as their email, why not switch? Even forward you old emails for awhile?

My gmail I used for youtube is collecting dust with all two of its emails. . .

I'll ask again. What does it do that other emails dont, or change the question to what do other emails do that gmail doesnt?

well for starters:

1) all those sites you now see with gb's of free storage exist because of the trailblazer that is google. while everyone else was offering paltry mb's in the tens google came out and changed the game offering gigs for free.

2) it's lightweight, loads fast, doesn't have a lot of clutter or bullshit

3) you can use google to search all your emails. yes other sites do this now but google is obv the king at search and imo that translates to a far more accurate email search service. I can type unique words I know I talked about years ago and have instant accurate results (i've never deleted any emails)

4) imo is far far farrrr better at blocking spam over other email services

5) integrates well with other google products

6) integrated lightweight chat (gchat), and voice services from within gmail
 
They would be all other services, and hence the factor which makes Google different from them.

But yes, I am on crack, thank you. How are those mushrooms treating.
 
gmail is google. google is gmail. they are the same company, some backend, worked on by the same people, with some of the same source code, the accounts are tied together, etc.

Free storage?? Do you pay for your email in America? Not sure what you mean by lightweight. Why do you want to search in an email? Don't understand that. An email is a form of communication not a research tool (at least no more than a letter used to be). Spam? I used to get 10 - 15 spam emails every day now it may be one or perhaps 2 and they are from Nigeria!
I dont want ti 'integrate'...what does that mean, do you not have Skype (or similar) or a telephone?

Perhaps my use of the internet is a little less sophisticated than yours, but I certainly have no trouble communicating or being communicated with...in fact the only time I have had any problem with emails, the ONLY time, was when I got what they call a bounce back from someone on....Gmail!! and she said several people had drawn her attention to the same thing.

i dont have the patience to go through all of this.
 
I use gmail for stuff that's not important. i use my other email account for important stuff. It's good to keep important stuff away from less important stuff. Like for instance, I use my other email for sending in my taxes, banking, etc.
