Conservatives?!! Don't think for a minute liberals are not armed too?!! I believe in the old adage, it's better to have weapons and not need them, than to need them and not have them! there won't be any civil war in this country. conservatives and liberals are too engrossed and enmeshed in making sure that the government stays strong enough to control the other side. What will happen is a seemingly random and sporadic set of attacks against government agencies and agents, as well as politicians, by people that will seem to have zero connection with any known group that you've ever heard of, but you can guarantee that conservatives will blame radical leftist groups and liberals will blame racists and TEA party people, and both of them will blame Libertarians. All the while, the left and the right will fork over their freedoms and liberties hand over fist to give the federal government more power to stop the insanity.

But, see unlike you and your ilk we aren't trying to force our views down your throat. It is the left wingers who are trying to force their view of life down ours.

Civil War? Maybe, maybe no. Who knows. If we keep heading down the path we are on, it is highly plausible. When you have almost 50% of the country producing and the other 50% taking, it is not a recipe for civility. Too many people are dependent on the gobblement for their very survival (or so they think). One day the money is just going to run out. Then you are left with Katrina x 1000 all across the country. Rioting, looting and civil unrest. Just what the totalitarians want in order to declare martial law and impose their dictatorial notions of "fairness" on all of us. Sound far fetched? Never could happen here? Look throughout history. This has been played out in many countries, countless times. The US of A has been a glorious exception, but the disease that is liberalism/progressivism/communism has taken root and unless we kill it, we will go that way as well.
 
It's funny that liberals only want to limit the easy access to guns and keep them out of the hands of those who shouldn't use them and the gun nuts want everyone to carry an assault rifle or three.

the only reason liberals want limits to gun access is their fervent hope that they will win the battle over governments directive and can then enforce their will on a disarmed populace.

You're insane. Polls reveal 20% of Americams are liberal, while 40% are conservative. Do the math.
