DEMOCRAT

His minimum wage hike is unlikely to pass Congress, and fellow Democrat Dirty Harry Reid opposes the Ones' request for fast-track authority for trade deals.

What's a Führer to do?

His executive orders will all stand. Ain't that a shame?

Why is it that you think he raised the minimum wage for federal contracts?

Do you think there are many federally contracted jobs that pay minimum wage?

Or could it be that the federal employees unions have triggers in their contracts that give them raises in response to increases in the minimum wage?

Someone received his marching orders.

LOL... it is true... I did read recently that there were such triggers in many union contracts. Which kind of goes a long with what I have stated all along. When you raise minimum wage, the wages for semi-skilled workers and skilled workers will also tend to increase. They will demand it. I just didn't know it was built into the contracts already.

Kind of explains why the Dems are so desperate to raise the minimum wage... another handout to the unions.

I know.

You should probably think a little more critically about the things that you read, though. Like, how many is "many?" Also, let's pretend you are in a union. Given past history, would you really want your compensation tied to what Congress does with the minimum wage? I sure wouldn't.

Republicans:

Do you believe that if a President issues executive orders he is automatically violating the Constitution?
