If the supreme court overturns row versus Wade, the Democrats and liberals and independence will be fired up for the midterms. I think Mitch McConnell is quaking in his boots in fear that he will never again be majority leader. I suspect the court is going to come down with a split decision simply limiting Roe, not killing it, but we will see.

It's about right and wrong, it's right to kill RoeVWade, it is not constitutional as it has been described. It does not permit for equal protection, it is a fabricated right! Politics be damned, God will allow whom he wants to be in charge of the government, according to his plan, and his will!

do you think Mississippi will go blue?........meanwhile, if you want to kill your unborn children you can always go to California........I believe they have a right to abort in their constitution......

In a very sharp and clear way, this could be a good thing for democrat voters and here's why....the SC wants states to decide on a woman's right to choose....the same very states, these lame duck sorry negro's and white trash cans ignore when its time to vote locally...what better way to get these lot of creatures off the couch, out of their trailers than to vote for something that is fundamentally their right? They took away their votes, stripped em of all the social safety nets dem's provided, said the hell with mask and clean water etc etc etc and still got elected to office now this....if they chose once again to look the other way and let the GOP in charge, I say the hell with em all and fuck em.
 
Women will retain their personal rights in civilized states like Massachusetts, New York, and California.
If they choose to live in Handmaiden states, don't get knocked up if you can't afford a trip for a Blue state abortion.
You can't afford kids in that circumstance anyway.

I truly loathe the misogyny and theocracy of Red State America, but the women in my life were thankfully never subjected to it.

It's been their driving issue now for almost 50 years. A lot of (R) voters, esp. during the #TRE45ON campaigns, focused solely on abortion and swallowed their disgust at the candidate. Take that away and what do they have? Bupkes.

If the red states, particularly the poorest of them, get into the forced-birth business, they are going to see their poverty rates skyrocket. Then we can watch them beg the rest of us to feed and care for all the extra kids that the parents -- and those states -- can't afford. Wait for it.
 
I would love to see an IQ test comparison between "pro-lifers" and "pro-choicers."

Also between fundamentalists and agnostics.

Let's face it--between rank and file Democrats and Republicans,

There are many JPP denizens who would not like to see those results, although I'm certainly not one of them.
As I said, I'd love to see them.

And quite frankly, I had a pretty good idea how the scores would turn out just from the posting grammar alone--
before I put most of the pachys on "ignore."

But the thing is, the SCOTUS doesn't look like there will be any openings to flip the balance for a while.

They will be generating their own opposition as most of the new voters affected by this will one day be voting against them.
