It may be the only way to negotiate himself out of the indictments and lawsuits, just waiting for him.

Interesting -- that's just about exactly what Mr. Owl said about it as well. My take is that he won't drop out because he knows that he is legal toast once he loses presidential immunity.

Regardless of who's right, the results are the same: Trump won't drop out. He'll have to be voted out.

Exactly. He gets to achieve what he failed to achieve in '16...concocting conspiracy theories for his loss, and launching his new trumptv network.

Trump needs to keep control of the justice department to keep his devious and illegal actions hidden. He has people like Barr running interference for him. Trump will do anything and everything he can to win. He needs the help of the statute of limitations to erase many of his crimes. Can you imagine the House investigations they could launch?
