Will tRump resign if he loses?

It is looking grim for tRump. There is no "Weiner laptop" and "James Comey" moment to work for tRump. The Guiliani "Hunter laptop" was a galactic bust. In fact, it may have backfired.

Now, it could very well be possible that after losing, tRump resigns. This would allow Pence to assume the office of POTUS and pardon tRump. With the loss, the Pence political career is over anyway. As such, he has nothing to lose.

It is very likely that tRump has significant worries about going to jail. If the Senate flips, the chances are very high that tRump will face legal issues. In lieu of this, a tRump pardon would certainly provide tRump a safety net of sorts.

He won't leave willingly. The only way to get rid of him will be for congress to have enough Democrats to have him physically removed.

The rumor is that trump will pardon himself and his family preemptively. If he does so, he won't resign, he'll summon up his white supremacist soldiers to start a civil war, while trump and his family slip out of the country to avoid charges in the states of NY and FL.

Self pardoning is risky. Having Pence do it is a much safer bet.
Either way, tRump's presidential legacy will forever be stained.

Seeing tRump dragged out of the White House in shackles would be a national embarrassment. That said, tRump already is a national embarrassment.
