Without the Communist party, there is no new China!

Nationalists did a better job running the Republic of China. Before China was a dreaded purveyor of cheap product exports, the 90s were a time when "made in Taiwan" was a running punchline regarding how much trade we were doing with them. The commies had to steal their ideas.
 
Nationalists were corrupt and just as dictatorial as the communists. A China under the nationalists wouldn't even exist today. Ruling an island is a different task than ruling a country with a billion people. And they didn't even really succeed in that until the protests threw off their dictatorship.

Well, they haven't had to deal with those evil Tibetans on their island. :D
 
Nationalist plans after the war were complete were to head to Tibet and complete the reacquisition of all Qing dynasty territories, just the same as the Communists. They probably wouldn't have ever let Mongolia off the hook like the Communists did either.

Yea well they laughed back then but just like Skidmarks comedy career no one is laughing now.
