Women Need To Carry Guns When Going Out Alone.

Bear spray is a good choice too. Much cheaper and much easier to use and no legal hassles. If every woman carried a gun or a can of bear spray, the rape problem would vanish overnight. So why don't they??

Tools are useful.
And guns are formidable weapons, particularly in the hands of a trained marksman.

A screw driver is a very useful tool. But they're generally not a very good hammer.

While 2A even applies to women, no human should "carry" before completing the full suite of firearms safety and proficiency training.
And among many other risks, women tending to be testosterone deprived, and tending to be smaller & less physically powerful than their male counterparts,
are at risk of being overpowered, and having the woman's own gun used against her.

I know!
The idea of a woman packin' heat is to avoid precisely that scenario. Unfortunately, it doesn't always work out for the best.

Hey einstein. Guns are LONG-RANGE weapons and women can safely use them. So too with bear spray (not some dinky can of mace) - they are good out to 30 feet.

Knives are a bad choice for a woman since she has to get within a few feet of the guy and yes, he may well take the knife from her.

Actually, ICBMs are long-range weapons. oto a handgun can leave powder burns from the muzzle flash on the target (victim).

Let me guess. You do not have years of on the job police experience?

At the range, for sure.
I never asserted otherwise. But there are risks whenever power is concentrated.

But wouldn't fit in the pocket of an evening dress. Ever wonder why there are no cargo pockets on women's formal evening attire? *

Generally perhaps so, though method of carry, level of training, weight range / age range match / mis-match of the attacker can also matter.

Regarding the range:
It is often not clear at 30' range whether a prospective assailant will attack or not. And that intention may not be evident until he has made physical bodily contact. At that point her gun could be a liability to her.
If you're suggesting she simply shoot dead any man that gets within 30' of her, perhaps you should take another Thorazine.

Liberals are making fun of women defending themselves without the aid of a man. That young woman in the link would be alive today if she had a pistol with her.

"Liberals are ..." pr #15
If you are a liberal it's not improper for you to express YOUR OWN perspective.
If you are not a liberal, it's not improper to quote a Liberal, as basis to make your counterpoint.
If you are not a liberal, and you presume to state the liberal POV, or characterize liberals, it bears the unmistakable appearance of fraudulent insult, rather than persuasive argument.

If you are not a liberal, please do not presume to speak for them.

Self defense is legal. And if the attack defended against is potentially lethal, lethal force in defense is legitimate.
Suspicion of or anticipation of an attack is generally not legal justification for use of deadly force.
