In his endorsement today, Richardson told an anecdote about Obama at one of the debates. Richardson said that, during the debate, there had been a dry spell where he hadn't gotten any questions. He was so thrilled to finally get one that he leaned over & whispered as much to Obama, and in doing so, missed the next question. At the end of the question, he heard his name called again, which really surprised him, and he was a little panicky because he hadn't heard it.
He said Obama saw the dilemma, and whispered over to him "Katrina! Katrina!," and noted that he could have "thrown him under the bus" (alert: wildly popular new political catchphrase), by indicating the wrong topic, but he helped him instead.
It just got me thinking, and I really don't know: would Hillary do that? My hunch is that she wouldn't. Of the 2, she is much more along the lines of "win no matter what the cost."
