Would this get enough voters?

While reading all the angst being expressed towards Trump and even Sanders, I started wondering about something.

If Hillary wins the DNC nomination and Trump wins the RNC nomination; what do you think would happen if Trump offered Sanders the VP position or even if Trump didn't win the RNC nomination, he then goes third party and still offers the VP position to Sanders?

But it would be interesting and I wonder how many votes it would pull, from both parties; seeing as how so many people are constantly calling for a viable 3rd party.
