Proposals aren't the hard part Yurt. It's negotiating the dowery that's tough! My father in-law, the farmer, offered me 3 pigs for a dowery. I said that I thought 4 pigs and 2 goats would be more appropriate. He looked at me straight in the eye and said "Aint no woman worth 4 pigs".....kinda hard to argue with logic that sound, aint it? We settled on 3 pigs and a goat.
