Hi tom, long time no see (talk..LOL)

I recall you are in England...the best WWII documentary I've ever seen was commissioned by Thames Television during 1969.

The World at War is a 26-episode British television documentary series on World War II and the events immediately before and after it. It was produced by Jeremy Isaacs, narrated by Laurence Olivier, and has a score composed by Carl Davis.

I have never heard a theme song that is so fitting. It is haunting, powerful and elicits the emotions of war.

With intro by Sir Laurence Olivier (Oradour-sur-Glane - martyred village in France)

Just the theme song

Yes, you're right it was a tour de force. They showed the whole 26 part series in its entirety recently on one of the UK terrestrial channels.
