In the CR passed by the House earlier today, Congress-critters didn’t get the 40% pay raise that they packed into the original CR, but they did sneak a cost of living provision into the one they passed.

Members of Congress were already being paid 149% above the official cost of living in Washington DC, which is one of the most expensive places on Earth to live.
 
Winners: Disaster victims and farmers, who receive critical aid.

Losers: Career politicians and K Street lobbyists left without their pork-filled agenda.

He can start by cutting 25 percent out of his 18 huge government contracts. Funny he never mentioned them.
 
House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries blames Republicans for killing a CR with funding for child cancer research.

A stand alone bill for funding child cancer research was passed in the Republican-controlled House and then blocked by the Democrat-controlled Senate back in March.
