The third spending bill has PASSED the House of Representatives, with Democrat support.

A government shutdown has been avoided.

This bill was 118 pages. That's down from over 1,500 pages.

𝕏 may have cut the pork out of this bill, but now we must get to work cutting the pork out of the government entirely.

Some Republicans are reportedly disappointed.

The weight reduction plan promoted on 𝕏 seems to have worked.

The CR went from a bill that weighed pounds to a bill that weighed ounces.

House passes bill to avoid a shutdown, sending it to the Senate hours before the deadline

The bill, which keeps the government funded through March 14, must still pass the Senate before 12:01 a.m. to avoid a shutdown.

I seems as though some sad, true-believing tribalists of both political "teams" are more loyal to the party than to their country.

In the CR passed by the House earlier today, Congress-critters didn’t get the 40% pay raise that they packed into the original CR, but they did sneak a cost of living provision into the one they passed.

Members of Congress were already being paid 149% above the official cost of living in Washington DC, which is one of the most expensive places on Earth to live.

Winners: Disaster victims and farmers, who receive critical aid.

Losers: Career politicians and K Street lobbyists left without their pork-filled agenda.

𝕏 delivered a significant win as the House passed the smallest CR ever in history!

- Started as 1,547 pages, was cut to 120

- No raise for members of Congress (except COA)

- No protections for J6 Committee

- Gives $20B for agricultural disaster assistance

- Gives $10B in aid for farmers impacted by the hurricanes

He can start by cutting 25 percent out of his 18 huge government contracts. Funny he never mentioned them.

House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries blames Republicans for killing a CR with funding for child cancer research.

A stand alone bill for funding child cancer research was passed in the Republican-controlled House and then blocked by the Democrat-controlled Senate back in March.

Democrats killed a bill for funding child cancer research.
