"Starting on April 11, US citizens will be able to select an X as their gender marker on their US passport application, and the option will become available for other forms of documentation next year," Blinken said in a statement. "After thoughtful consideration of the research conducted and feedback from community members, we concluded that the definition of the X gender marker on State Department public forms will be 'Unspecified or another gender identity.' Well, there are 72 options now....I guess those all wouldn't fit....
 
Just from a political viewpoint, I wonder if this GAINS Democrats Votes?
Or, ... if Republicans use this to GAIN Votes for Republican candidates?

They check male or female...not X...and then sth...;) I think this is to gain D votes...but it won't....Same with the Biden Trans statement..

Black Churches, Latino Catholics, Muslims, Orthodox Jews, Evangelicals ...
From just a political calculation, I don't think this adds to the Democrats vote count.
