Yes, I Envy The Wealthy.

Elsewhere, (and maybe here too) in all of my talk against Trump and the wealthy, I have been accused of doing so just because I envy the wealthy. But that doesn't mean I agree with how the wealthiest got that way. Though getting back to the point, as I said, I do envy the wealthy. But things are much worse than that for me. Though I was always poor, right now I am on Social Security. So what that means is that I envy the lower middle class. (Let alone the wealthy) What is I envy about them? I envy that they were able to afford to have a family. I envy that they are able to afford to drive a car. I envy that they have a house to live in. I envy that they don't have to eat non filling high calorie food. I envy that they are able to wash their clothes at home. I envy that they are able to buy better clothing and shoes than I can. I envy that they (probably) never had to experience homelessness like I have. I envy that they are able to afford to own a pet, etc.

Yet despite all that, apparently the poor aren't poor enough for Trump. As I said elsewhere, with his plans to both privatize and cut Social Security, cut Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. All to give more money to the wealthy who don't need it. It absolutely disgusts me. How can Trump or his supporters be so devoid of any shred of morality? Sure, you could just blame it on greed. But the greed excuse can only get you so far. What the wealthy are doing in our society has delved into the realm of the demonic! I don't like much of what FDR did. But I totally agree with his ideas on a Second Bill Of Economic Rights.

You don't know how the wealthiest became the wealthiest. You have no understanding of economics. You drool on your shoe as you gibber.

Though getting back to the point, as I said, I do envy the wealthy.
The wealthy add value to society, and you aren't capable of adding any value. No rewards for you, eh?

But things are much worse than that for me.
Are you too stupid to learn as well? I can see why your outlook is grim.

Though I was always poor, right now I am on Social Security.
Of course, you're a leech. You have reached the best you can be.

So what that means is that I envy the lower middle class.
Yep, you envy the wrong things. Have you considered perhaps adding value to society instead of being completely worthless and seeing how much free stuff you can get?

What is I envy about them?
All the wrong things.

I envy that they were able to afford to have a family.
You envy that they sucked it up and earned the wealth necessary to acquire what is important to them, all while you aren't capable of bringing yourself to get your ass off your sofa to be of any sort of value to society.

I envy that they are able to afford to drive a car.
Get the DMV booklet, study up for the drivers test and get your license.

I envy that they have a house to live in.
Go get a house if that's what you want.

I envy that they don't have to eat non filling high calorie food.
You don't have to either. Get some self-discipline. You certainly whine a lot.

I envy that they are able to wash their clothes at home.
When you get your house, install a washing machine.

I envy that they are able to buy better clothing and shoes than I can.
Clothing and shoes are just some of the benefits of willingness to work a job.

I envy that they (probably) never had to experience homelessness like I have.
They are willing to work a job and stave off homelessness.

I envy that they are able to afford to own a pet, etc.
Adopt a pet.

Yet despite all that, apparently the poor aren't poor enough for Trump.
Trump is making America great again. You are the one who isn't adding any value.

As I said elsewhere, with his plans to both privatize and cut Social Security, cut Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.
Yep, if we could just eliminate all the free stuff, we could begin America's 12-step program to come clean from ossifying and atrophying under a debilitating addiction to free stuff that prevents the afflicted from being able to be productive in society. Have you ever considered just enrolling in a rehab center and making yourself eligible to participate in society?

All to give more money to the wealthy who don't need it.
You clearly don't understand how this works. People give money to those who are providing value, creating a win-win in the price realization of the supply-demand curve. But wait, you don't even know what that is. There's no way for you to understand the truth of the matter. You are relegated to confusion and frustration. It must suck to be you.

Get into rehab. Come clean. Get off the free stuff and start adding value.

It absolutely disgusts me.
How ironic.

How can Trump or his supporters be so devoid of any shred of morality?
The moral thing for anyone to do in this situation is to tell you to shut the fuck up and to get a fucking job, you whining crybaby. You'll thank me for it eventually.

Sure, you could just blame it on greed.
Marxists use the word "greed" to denigrate the contributions to society made by good people. Marxists use the word "greed" as a dog whistle for the government to confiscate the rewards that were earned from those who earned them for daring to add value to society, and call for those rewards to be redistributed to whining shits who won't lift a fucking finger to do anything more than beg for more free stuff. Get yourself a cardboard sign and find a fucking street corner.

But the greed excuse can only get you so far.
How's it working out for you?

What the wealthy are doing in our society has delved into the realm of the demonic!
Of course, the demonic nature of creating jobs, providing the tax base to build infrastructure, the building of a society that has happy people with nice things, the building of economies that have diverse products and services from growing supply chains, ... yeah, it's terrible.

Meanwhile, we have Pringle-stuffers like you who simply don't receive the full credit you deserve. We need so many more like you ... to serve as scarecrows. Just go away.

Sounds like a personal problem to me. I have no idea what you are capable of for work, or whether you are willing to do some shitty job to make ends meet and maybe eventually get ahead. But I do know you will never get ahead envying others while doing nothing yourself.

The wealthy in any society--ANY SOCIETY--are the movers and shakers of that society. They are the ones that have the funds to create jobs, businesses, and grow society's wealth.

The real generator of poverty is a corrupt, entrenched, government that is unaccountable to the people. It is worse when that government hands out bribes to the poor and working poor to gain votes like happens in so many Leftist countries that still have free elections. When you need government's permission to do anything, there's a major problem.

So you gonna be happy living in the company town, buying from the company store, and working for the privilege to do so?

"Cause that's where we are headed.

You are too stupid to talk to.
Another mindless Marxist who can only whine and bitch and gripe and complain and snivel and cry like a fucking baby, ... pretending that *I* am somehow the one who is too stupid to converse. Too funny!

@Highlight, please scurry away in a panic again. It was hilarious the way you did it the last time. The way you kick up dust in your haste to flee is a wonder to behold. Oh, before you go, tell us more about economics again ... it really cracks me up.

I told you about things I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY FOR! You tell me to afford it anyway. Do you get paid to be such an asshole? Or do you do it as sort of a demented public service.

No, it isn't. I've seen company towns here in Arizona, and they pretty much suck. There's always a companion "free" town next to the company one.

Hayden (company) -Winkelman (free)
Clifford (company) - Duncan (free)
San Manuel (company)- Oracle (free)

As but two examples. The problem that arises is that the workers who are able to move to the free town and out of the company town create envy within those unable to do likewise.

The wealthy in the US today rarely, if ever, try the company town route. The most famous and probably infamous of those company towns were the ones Pullman built. He wanted to give the workers his vision of utopia and built really pretty magnificent company towns for them. Then, as the government he put heavy handed rules on those living in them. Many workers were able to move out of these by saving their money, etc., and that created envy by those left behind. This came to a head in the Pullman general strike of 1894.

The Pullman towns were a variant of government public housing projects, or socialist funding of housing, like Section 8. They have the same thing going on. It's the Left politically that brings on the "company town." In the old Soviet Union you lived in an apartment that the government gave to you.

Sounds like you were born naked and poor just like me.

Bummer you couldn't make more of yourself in the land of opportunity.

Self pity won't fix it. Maybe in your next life?

It's what the corporate world is working towards whether you realize it or not.

No, it's not. Now, developers (companies that build housing developments)... That's a different story.

A rising trend in home development, particularly at the entry level / low end of the scale is the rental home. The developer builds a subdivision, slaps an HOA on it, and then rents / leases the homes rather than sells them to buyers.

Build to rent is a good income and investment plan for developers and property management companies. It screws the renters however as they aren't owners and don't build equity. For people who are getting by, it means they aren't building wealth in the one thing that traditionally is used to build wealth in American, home ownership.

Company towns, on the other hand, are a vanishing thing. A few still exist, but not many. Corporations for the most part...

A digression. Disney seems to be an exception. They have one operating at Disney World in Florida for their employees.

...want no part in dealing with the daily lives of workers and having to run a municipality. It's just too costly for them.

Not that generally I support you. But I have a suggestion for you. As you k now, communist China became partially capitalist some time ago. That created a lot of Chinese billionaires. In China they have built fairly large cities with a lot of high rise apartment complexes. Made up of apartments that are probably pretty large and nice even by Western standards. They are mainly vacant. Look it up for yourself. The reason they exist is for the wealthy there to use them as investment capitol.

The same thing happened in Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. Those that were already positioned to take advantage of now privatized and open markets did so. Many were previously black marketers and others that were skirting the government and law to make money. Some in government did likewise using their connections to gain advantage in the now open market.

As for China and high-rise apartments: These were encouraged to be built by the government without particular regard to need where built. Many developers got rich using government subsidies to build such buildings that now stand empty and silent as no one wants to rent or live in them.

Many of these buildings suffer from serious defects in construction, where the developer rushed completion, short sheeted materials, did shoddy work, and paid off government officials to look the other way. That allowed the developer(s) to pocket the cash and make a dash, so to speak. The government on the other hand doesn't want to look bad so they ignore this or cover it up.

So, bottom line: China's government is covering up a lot of shit and fuck ups going on in China

What you say may be true about shoddy workmanship and corruption. But doing that shit in China is taking a BIG risk. Because over there, they have no problem with executing people for such things. After all, they have well over a billion people. So life is cheap there.
