Boy what a coincidence this is.

The leader of the Wagner group who threatened a coup against Putin is apparently dead in a plane crash.

It's a breaking story so there are no details yet other than the crash.

Moral of the story, don't piss off Putin and think you can get away with it.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the founder of Russia's Wagner Group, was involved Wednesday in a plane crash that has left 10 people dead outside of Moscow, state media is reporting.

The business jet was traveling from the Russian capital to St. Petersburg and an investigation is ongoing, according to the TASS News Agency.

It's not immediately clear whether Prigozhin is among the 10 reported to have died in the crash.

The Ukrainians have pissed off Putin and not only gotten away with it, they are winning!

Sure they are.

Russia quickly took the land they wanted and have maintained it since.

The Ukrainians are just dying throwing themselves against Russian defenses.

They won't be able to sustain that much longer, they don't have that many soldiers left.
 
I thought he would get poisoned. I guess Putin does not care if a bunch of people die when he gets even anymore.

The Russian have been forced to send men into battle without equipment, without ammunition, without supplies. It has become so desperate they are emptying prisons to get more cannon fodder.
10's of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of able men have fled the country, and yes you did predict a Russian victory in just days.

Don't believe CNN.

The Russians are doing fine.

Every single piece of new equipment a nation sends to Ukraine is destroyed within minutes of it arriving at the front.

Putin has the land he wants and now it's just a waiting game.

He has committed less than 10% of his forces to this war while Ukraine is using 100% of everything.

Putin is in no rush, he knows Ukraine cannot win a war of attrition.
 
I will be listening to what the Russia experts that I listen to have to say about this over the coming days but I make three points now:

1) I reported about six months ago, long before his massive temper tantrum about Wagner being mostly disbanded, that the Russian Elites were done with him, he had crossed too many lines.

2) Wagner was ordered to use Bakhmut to kill Ukrainians and destroy their gear but to not take the city....orders that they disobeyed...insubordination that was hung on Prigozhin .

3) Post temper tantrum when the experts I listen have been asked why this guy was still alive the general answer was that he was still very popular with the Russian people.

Rumor says they had an engine failure and the pilot bailed out to lighten the load. :thup:

Putin's enemies often end up dead. He's famous for it.

Putin works by accumulating consensus, in many ways Russia today is more democratic than America is, a point that Scott Ritter makes often.

The Russians have done every possible to avoid WW3 other than complete surrender to the American who hate them and want to plunder Russia, not because they dont expect to win, but because they are not uncivilized brutes as we are.
