**The death rate has to be taken with a major grain of salt. They are not just counting deaths attributable to COVID19 alone. But counting people who died WITH it not just OF it. That is a major distinction and very flawed.

People always tell us how wonderful “socialized medicine” is. Here is the death rate of vaunted healthcare systems in Europe we are supposed to emulate and then the good ole USA

While you are technically correct. Those that had other medical conditions may not have died for years so the virus was the main cause. Example man has heart disease catches the flu and dies what was the main cause of his death? The flu of course as it triggered the heart attack.

Getting a virus doesn't trigger a heart attack. Typically people from respiratory viruses die from complications due to pneumonia. I am talking about extreme cases where they take someone who has been on hospice for 2 weeks and say COVID killed them. That is wrong

Sorry but I'm not incorrect. A virus such as the flu places demands on the immune system that may not be strong enough to fight it. As we age our immune system generally gets weaker which is why the elderly are more at risk of death from viruses. A virus such as covid19 attacks the respiratory system thus depending on the strength of the immune system it may or may not be able to fight off the virus. Let's use pneumonia as an example, a person has covid19 which causes pneumonia and the person dies from it. Is the cause of death pneumonia or covid19? Of course it's covid19. The pneumonia most likely wouldn't have happened if the virus hadn't caused it.

Just because someone is in a nursing home doesn't indicate they are in hospice.

I see no reason to sugarcoat the lethality of this virus. Does it really matter if it is the cause of 128,000 or 100,000 deaths those people would most likely still be alive if it wasn't for the virus.
