I guess because they can read, and aren't a product of your deliberately failing education system.

Remember when Democrats made it illegal to teach blacks how to read? Those laws still seem to be getting enforced.

Did I mention that Tim Scott is a flagrant Uncle Tom?
We mustn't let him off the hook too soon.

His performance last night was a humiliation to all Americans of good will, regardless of ethnicity,
but to the African American civil rights activists who put it all on the line so that Scott could someday be where he is,
his speech had to take on the appearance of a big, ungrateful, middle finger

I do not agree with any of this, and it is over the line.

There are a tiny minority of blacks who genuinely share some core values of Trump Republicans: xenophobia, anti-immigrant resentment, low taxes on the affluent, anti-gay, anti-LGBTQ.

Tim Scott, I suspect is a careerist and sees the GOP as a great opportunity for rapid career advancement. There are plenty of people with those same goals, and they come in all skin tones

I do not know why Uncle Tom is used in this way.

In the novel, Tom was a religious man who practiced the tenets of passive, Christian nonresistance. Tom was killed by the cruel slave master for not revealing the plans and location of runaway slaves. As a literary metaphor, Tom was a Christian martyr.
