So they can’t find a jury in N.O. that doesn’t have criminal convictions. Imagine that.
I honestly believe these monsters will walk due to a hung jury when all the evidence is on video.

"The coroner's office released Frickey's official cause of death on Thursday, though the results of the autopsy were not unexpected. New Orleans Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson said Frickey died after she became entangled in a seatbelt as carjackers sped away with her vehicle. Her arm was severed after she was dragged about a block away while neighbors looked on helplessly.

The NOPD said four teenagers - a 17-year-old boy and three 15-year-old girls, were arrested hours after the Monday afternoon carjacking. Two of the teens were turned in by their parents. All face second-degree murder charges, and Ferguson said he would recommend that they be charged as adults.

"I would say absolutely, I encourage, I will ask, that they be charged as adults. ... I mean, look at the nature of the crime," Ferguson said."
 
Clearly, the criminals treated this 73 year old woman as ... subhuman.

From the sounds of it it looks like a hate crime to me... that was a pretty specific target... all need to go to trial...

Did they target the car or the driver? If the driver, then it could be a hate crime. If they only targeted the car, it's not.

The 18 year old deserves life in prison due to his previous criminal history and murder of Frickey but it appears all will face life in prison if convicted.

Each of the four teens will be tried as an adult and are facing a mandatory life sentence if convicted.

Baker, along with John Honore, 17, Lenyra Theophile, 15, Mar'Qel Curtis, 15, were arrested by the New Orleans Police Department and charged with the crime. Honore, had a lengthy criminal record court records show.

In August, a judge denied bail reductions for the teens which kept them held in jail on a $1 million dollar bond.

If you saw the video Honore punched and kicked Frickey while she was on the ground before dragging her to her death.
Seems pretty obvious.

He's going to prison for life. I'm certain that video will be shown if he ever comes up for parole. What more do you want?
 
New Orleans is one seriously fucked up city. You don’t hear about it so much because the population is only 380,000. But it’s got to be the worst concentration for a city of that size in America if not the world.

Nothing. But you don’t know that city. There are two completely different sets of laws for blacks and whites. Been that way since the ‘80’s.
I left in ‘91 after I had enough.
The two diehards I still keep in touch with that are still there say it’s worse.
They both strongly recommended to their kids to leave and don’t return.
They took that advice.

That's clearly a disgusting hate crime... I have not seen the video and I'm not sure I want to but I did read that neighbors couldn't do anything to help...
