Dragging death of Linda Frickey

Why that car? This wasn't about the car....they watched her...yes "targeted"... and then attacked her...and wouldn't let her out of the car....continued to beat her....and then took off and then killed her... Pure hate....

Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn, who is Black, said in February that pro-Trump rioters shouted racial slurs at him and beat other officers with Blue Lives Matter flags.

He told ABC News that he remembered telling another officer on 6 January: “I got called a [N-word] a couple dozen times today protecting this building. Is this America? They beat police officers with Blue Lives Matter flags. They fought us, they had Confederate flags in the US Capitol.”
 
The trial will tell the story...at least one of those girls doesn't want to get put in jail for a very long time... Then again, maybe it's just four teens out for a stroll, decided they didn't want to walk the rest of the way to McDonalds...
and needed to borrow a car...

That prerequisite was clearly met. BTW, this is the same quiet neighborhood where my friend Jack Bartlett was murdered in 1992 while riding his bike to his mother's house on the way to eat dinner. No robbery, just plain shot him dead.

So you think it was justified for a 17 year old to repeatedly punch and kick a 73 year old completely defenseless lady while on the ground tangled up in her seat belt before dragging her to death. If that’s not hate then there should be no such thing as ‘hate’ crimes.
And personally I wish that designation would be eliminated. I don’t see how that makes a murder worse than it already is.
What difference did it make to my face when those thugs beat me up for jogging while White or if it was some white bullies that would never take me on one on one?

Crimes motivated by hate towards this particular group do indeed send a message of discrimination and intolerance towards elderly people. She was targeted for who she was.... And that is a hate crime...They just wanted to mess with an elderly, in this case, white lady...give her a good scare and then take the car for a joy ride...Unfortunately, their hate got out of control...One can only imagine what he were saying to her as he beat her and then raced away, dragging her to her death...

It's unimaginable that some here are trying to explain this away as if their motive was that "they just wanted the car"....They wouldn't have gone after her if she had been a young lady...or a middle aged man...or she looked like their grandmother....
