I think the key is that it was done without a gun. That way ammosexuals don't have to feel bad worshipping the thing that has lead to countless mass shootings every single year in the US.

There was a school shooting that killed a dozen American children, in the same month that there was a crazy Chinese man who attacked a classroom with a knife. Almost the same number of people were killed and injured in both attacks, but none died in the Chinese knife attack.
