Trump "Hands off" protests fizzle rather than sizzle

I'm sorry you were embarrassed.

I get what you are saying, I should have said you posted about one city that Fox reported on saying that "Fox called it a few hundred"... but again, "they called thousands hundreds" doesn't change the reality that I underscore (nor is it accurate, link us up bub). His OP said that some deep blue cities had some good turnout, then you said: "Nuh-uh, because some cities had some big turnout!"

lol....

No. I wasn't embarrassed. You completely lied about what I said. And anyone who wants can check the post where I mentioned Fox, look at the post where you characterized what I said, and see that you were lying. And now refuse to admit it, and instead try to move the goalposts.

This is what happens when you go MAGA.

And you missed the point of that post, @Damocles. I was certainly not saying "Nuh-uh, because some cities had some big turnout!"

I was illustrating how Fox was downplaying #'s, just like the OP does.

Again, I simply point out that your post simply proves the man's point. Some deep blue cities had some good turnout, your post stated the same thing just "angrily"... but it simply didn't prove him wrong.

You really should be embarrassed, even if you aren't you should be.

But then you were "confused" and "couldn't comprehend" what people were saying... <smh>

Anyway, the posts from others also, you know the ones showing images of relatively large crowds in some deep blue cities doesn't change one iota of what the OP says, nor prove it false, it just tells us you cannot comprehend the language.

Yesterday was supposed to be the Left's big day of nationwide protests against Trump and his actions. There were a few bigger ones in deep blue cities on the coasts while elsewhere, the turnout was unimpressive.

For example, here in Arizona there were several. In Phoenix, hundreds showed up for a short march and protest at the capitol. Blue, more Progressive, Tucson had one that was a bit bigger. There was another in Sedona (lots of California transplants there) that saw dozens show up.

The reporting on this event has been subdued at best. It isn't grabbing headlines. Thus, all fizzle, no sizzle.

Wishful, magical thinking with no basis in reality.

It was funny - Fox reported on one of them, where the #'s were very clearly in the thousands, and they used "hundreds" as the descriptor.

They were mocked online for that. So partisan.

Here's the post again.

Anyone can judge for themselves. I'm not using this as any example of "large turnout in big cities." It is strictly about how Fox is downplaying the #.

I accept that you can't admit you were wrong. You read the post incorrectly. You should read it again - you probably haven't since we started this discussion.

Really - read it again.

You put confused in quote marks. Why? Did I say I was confused? Same with "couldn't comprehend."

You are flailing, and losing. Badly.

I'm planning on waiting for the police crowd estimates. I think one or two of them may have been as much as 30K (Chicago), but the image from NYC shows about 1000 in that photo... We can't estimate from the photos as they do not show us a full picture. I'm not saying there weren't a few big turnouts, just that estimates from the photos are not accurate...

I think protests against government efficiency is still not the path to success for Democrats.

There were over 100,000 in DC. We'll see once they have the estimates. I think it's close to a million nationwide. They were a success in my area.

I have to apologize. I said you lied early in our discussion. You might have just misread what I said.

But, now that we've had some back & forth, I can accurately say that you're lying about what I said. I shouldn't have been premature on that, though.

It's possible it was a million nationwide. And I will admit that I thought you brought up Fox as a "even Fox said that one was big", I've seen their reports they reported quite a few large turnout cities though. Rereading, you brought it up as "Fox is downplaying the numbers", but that doesn't change my main point, that still doesn't prove his point wrong, because he admits in his OP that there were some larger turnouts in some areas.

:dunno:

I appreciate the admission.

It's the only thing that has ever really bothered me in discussion here (not just w/ you - with anyone) - when someone claims I said something I simply did not say.

Lack of USAID funding. 😏
