White House Previews Unfair Trade Practices countries use against america: ‘700% Tariff from Japan on American Rice

Text Drivers are Killers

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
Tariffs have been used for centuries. The CCM tells the public that trump has started a trade war but the truth is he is simply fighting back.

april 2 2025 The White House shared a clip of press secretary Karoline Leavitt laying out some of the unfair trade practices America already faces. "If you look at the unfair trade practices that we have — 50 percent from the European Union on American dairy, you have a 700-percent tariff from Japan on American rice, you have a 100-percent tariff from India on American agricultural products,” she said, listing some of the realities.
“You have nearly a 300-percent tariff from Canada on American butter and American cheese. This makes it virtually impossible for American products to be imported into these markets, and it has put a lot of Americans out of business and out of work over the past several decades,” Leavitt continued, explaining that it is time for “reciprocity.”

From Trump, who does not believe in global free trade, he wants America to be self sufficient......he wants minimal trade.

Yeah, we all want everything to be “made in America”, but this isn’t how it’s done. You first replace the ability to produce the goods, then you implement tariffs to protect your manufactures. Felonious doesn’t understand the use of tariffs.

The companies will not be created unless the would-be owners know the tariffs are there to protect them.

Yes. There is almost no 'free trade' in real life, and those forcing the U.S. into these lop-sided scams are simply ripping us off. Trump is merely trying to correct the inequalities, is all. Most of these lefties and other corporate welfare bums don't have the first clue of what is required for U.S. companies to do business inside Red China, for instance. First, you ave to have a Cadre 'partner' who gets paid for doing nothing, like the Mafia and its no show jobs as part of contracts with companies and unions it controls. It get even more restrictive from there on. There is no 'free trade', just shakedowns of the U.S. and its taxpayers, and massive labor racketeering.

Rubbish. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Indeed. We are not starting a trade war; we are joining it.

The Japanese won't buy American rice, unless obligated to buy the WTO, for several reasons:

1 They are very loyal to Japanese rice farmers

2 They think American rice is tasteless which it is for the most part

3 Their short grain rice is not the best for making sushi.

As I stated they are obligated to take American rice under the terms of a WTO deal. This amounts to 300,000 tons per year and is not subject to any tariffs. Anything over that is tariffed at 700%.
The vast majority is used for animal feed and overseas aid

Yep, fighting back. Red China's market just dumped 10% on open just about 6 hours ago, largest drop since 2008; we can literally see our trade deficit dropping for the first time since Trump's last term. A lot of real bargains pending for today's openings here, hopefully. All the Asian markets are down, so look for a lot of renegotiations of crooked trade deals that have been bleeding us dry since Reagan coming almost immediately this month. A lot more companies are going to be re-shoring here soon, and foreign companies moving production here as well. The job market is going to skyrocket for Americans, which is why Trump eased some of the green card restrictions a bit recently. The massive increase in productivity and the tax base and massive reduction in trade deficits is going to reduce our own deficit and lower taxes for everybody, not just billionaires who can buy Congressmen.

We need to stop depleting our ag land anyway and star conserving it and keep sales domestic. Same with oil and other mineral resources. Use everybody elses' up first. And, some of the healthiest rice, brown rice, is grown here in the U.S.
