No worries, Perry OCD. You and I both know why you won't answer the question. LOL
OCD?
Are you some sort of junior psychiatrist or something? LOL. OCD.
No worries, Perry OCD. You and I both know why you won't answer the question. LOL
Atheists don't try to prove whether any god or gods do not exist, NoName. Go learn English.they act as if has already been achieved and God has been rationally disproven.
this is a falsehood.
It is not possible to prove a negative, NoName.actually negatives can be proven,
Random incoherent phrase.but that's the argument with god.
Paradox. Irrational. You cannot argue both sides of a paradox. Go learn English.a defining trait of god is he's beyond the regular rules of reality, and can be undetectable if he so chooses.
Paradox. Irrational.God can falsify his own non-existence, stymieing his opponents for aeons.
This is a negative proof fallacy.Yes. If you make a claim and then fail to provide evidence for that claim I am OK to assume the claim is not true.
No science is being used here. This is how science works.
Since you deny logic, you wouldn't understand them.Would you like in more formal terms?
What test?Ho: There is no God
Ha: There is a God
Now run the test.
Show your work. (Surely you know what I'm referencing here)
This part is correct. No it doesn't.
Science is not scientists or religion. As any reputable scientist the question, "Are there any sentient beings on any planet circling the nearest 25 stars to Sol? and my guess is that 100% would reply, "I do not know."
Negative proof fallacy. Denial of logic.I doubt even one would say, "We unless you provide evidence that there are any...it is logical to assume there are none."
Science is not a verb.Yes, yes it does. You just don't know science. It's called "Hypothesis Testing". Google it. It's part of what is called "Inferential Statistics".
Sorry you are outgunned in this discussion. I highly recommend you do some reading. Learn how science is done then come back to me.
Yes, Perry, your mom. Was she a Christian? Most moms are. Is she the reason why you hate Christians, son?Now my mom??? Wow. You really are pissed off now aren't you?
DId I insult your "religious" conviction that you flew up to the sky and visited the angels? LOL. Sorry, Cletus, I think you're deluded.
It appears that wherever you flew to on your "NDE", you didn't learn much valuable shit because you seem like a pretty appalling person. I'd think dying and coming back to life would make you into a GOOD person.
You are a credulous little cretin as far as I can tell from your posts.
Yes, Perry, your mom. Was she a Christian? Most moms are. Is she the reason why you hate Christians, son?
What happened? Did she abandon you in a "special" school?
Wow, you really seem upset, Perry. Sorry. I'll let you cool off for a while then we can discuss why you hate Christians again.
Science is not a verb.
Don't try to deny your own posts, Dimlight.Nor was it used as such in my post.
Thanks.
Are you claiming you didn't have a mother, Perry or are you claiming she wasn't a Christian? Was she Jewish? Nothing at all? I find it hard to believe an American woman in her 60s or older wasn't religious. Therefore, you are hiding something. You and Cypress really need me to be upset about stuff, don't you?
I would hate to live where you guys live, it must be such a stressor! I'm super chill this afternoon. It's 4:20 somewhere. So I don't see how your juvenalia would "upset" met.
I can, however, understand you are so upset you are making up fantasies about my childhood. And imagining me being "abandoned" by my mom or in a "special school"...I mean FUUUUUUCK man, what is up with this VIVID imagination?
All because I think your "NDE" is hilarious and just delusion? You weren't even near DEATH. You just hallucinated. Did you score points with your buddies claiming you had a "near death" experience?
LOL. Go ahead, post another meme of some retarded kid with my name on it. If it'll make you feel better.
When you were posting as Perry PhD you mentioned that you had become cynical and disillusioned about your erstwhile Christian faith, because God didn't answer your prayers, or something along those lines. You and Cypress really need me to be upset about stuff, don't you?
He's hiding something. I'm guessing that 1) his mom was a Christian, 2) that he still lives with her because he needs a caretaker and 3) that he's simply throwing a tantrum as a 30-40 year old man with the mind of a teenager acting out. When you were posting as Perry PhD you mentioned that you had become cynical about your erstwhile Christian faith, because God didn't answer your prayers, or something along those lines.
So @Dutch Uncle is asking a legitimate question:
did you become atheist after dispassionate and unemotional logical reasoning? Or did you become militantly atheist because you were angry at Christianity?
He's hiding something. I'm guessing that 1) his mom was a Christian and 2) that he still lives with her because he needs a caretaker.
I can believe that. As stated before, the worst anti-smokers are ex-smokers. Every militant atheist I've had a discussion with was raised as a Christian. They are almost always Euro-American males under 30 with a few under 40. The older they are, the more fucked up they are. Truly angry people who can't outgrow their childhood.Albert Einstein said that behind every militant atheist is a story about some traumatic experience they had with their church.

In Perry's case, due to a variety of reasons, I think he has low IQ and related low self-esteem issues. This would explain his writing and thinking patterns along with his obsession in proving he's equal to college graduates.
Agreed that both militant atheists and religious extremists have low self-esteem driving their zealousness. They feel they have something to prove.Good analysis.
In certain ways, it seems like the psychology of the militant atheist and the religious zealot converge at some level.
Agreed that both militant atheists and religious extremists have low self-esteem driving their zealousness. They feel they have something to prove.
As you noted before, childhood trauma seems to drive most militant atheists. Guilt seems to drive a lot of religious zealots.
Remember Matt Stefanowicz AKA Witold? I called him Spaz. He was a Polish New Yorker and obviously retarded but desperately wanted to be seen as smarter than others on JPP that it drove him into a permban. I tried to be easy on him out of pity but also wasn't going to take any shit off of him. He and Perry would make good roommates at a halfway house for such people.

Spaz or Perry? IMO, they both have very similar problems. All I remember is that guy was a weirdo.
It is definitely true that frantic Googling for tidbits of information will never be a replacement for doing the hard work of reading books, taking classes, and diligently consuming professional-quality journalism.
Spaz, he seemed to be off his rocker.Spaz or Perry? IMO, they both have very similar problems.
